He asked me what Classical was to me and I told him that it was a type of music. He pondered that for a second and asked me why it was called Classical. I wasn't really sure why it was called Classical music to tell the truth. I would have guessed that it was from a period of time called the "Classical" Period, but I was not sure. He told me that he thought Rap music should be called the classical music of today. I didn't really have a response. We went on to tell me that artists like Chamillionaire and Kanye West are the classical composers of today. Again, I did not have a response. So, I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder. The next time he asks me what I am listening to, I will reply with the artist or composer's name as I don't want to have this discussion again.
